McMurry Alumnus to Present Talk on Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment

Jonathan Urbanczyk, a 2011 McMurry University graduate and third-year medical student at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Worth, will give a talk on breast and prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment to McMurry science students at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 26, in the Finch-Gray Science Building room 226.

His talk will cover the clinical perspective of prostate and breast cancer, including the basic science of cancer, the diagnosis, current treatments and possible future treatments for these types of cancer.

An Abilene native and 2008 Cooper High School graduate, Urbanczyk received his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science with minors in biochemistry and psychology from McMurry in December 2011. He will graduate from medical school in May 2016 and will pursue residency in internal medicine.
