McMurry Art Department Offers Summer Art Classes

The McMurry University Art Department will offer three summer art classes for adults and children.

Adult Jewelry Camp, featuring lost wax casting in silver taught by Linda Stricklin MFA, will meet from May 17 – June 2 from 6 -8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $500 and includes materials.

McMurry Art Day Camps for kindergarten through 12th grade will also be offered this summer. Camp for kindergarten through fifth grade will be from 9 a.m. to noon on June 20-24. Cost is $225. Camp for sixth through twelfth grades will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Cost is $300.

McMurry Adult Photo and Clay Art Camps will be offered from July 5 through August 5. Cost is $375.

The McMurry Art Camps are taught by McMurry art professors assisted by McMurry art education and art majors, using campus art facilities, including a large ceramics facility, north facing drawing and painting studios, and a new Mac computer lab.
