McMurry University will host the one-man show Marx in Soho at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, in McMurry’s Ryan Little Theatre.  The performance is free to the public.

In the one-man show starring actor Bob Weick, Karl Marx launches into a passionate, funny and moving defense of his life and political ideas in Howard Zinn’s brilliant, timely play. The play is an excellent introduction to Marx’s life, his analysis of society, and his passion for radical change. Marx uses current news and events to show how his ideas still resonate.

Weick, the celebrated actor and Barrymore Award nominee, has presented over 200 performances of Zinn's play from Maine to California. A farrier by trade, Bob began his acting career in 1995, choosing to use his talent to contribute to the education and engagement of students and citizens.
