Become a Texas Teacher with McMurry’s FasTrack Program

Registration is now open for McMurry University’s FasTrack program. FasTrack presents an exciting opportunity for anyone who has a bachelor’s degree and is seeking Texas teacher certification. Coursework begins May 15 and can be completed during the summer. Additional options are available for fall and spring semesters. 

Prerequisites for the program including a 2.75 GPA and passing a content test, The state of Texas requires a meningitis shots for those under the age of 30 or a booster shot within the past five years. Applicants will need to present a transcript for evaluation at the time of initial meeting with the director of the FasTrack. Once coursework is completed, students will be eligible for a teaching internship or for student teaching.
