Dr. Paul Fabrizio spent last week in Washington, D.C. attending the National Rural Health Conference with McMurry alumna Kelly Cheek '99, the director of the Big Country Area Health Center (AHEC).

They heard from seven U.S. senators of both political parties about the declining state of health care in the U.S. They then spent a day visiting with members of the Texas Congressional delegation to inform them of rural health care needs and to advocate for passage of the Save Rural Hospital Act.
