Daniel Zales is Featured Speaker at McMurry’s Johnson School of Business Speaker Series

Daniel Zales, an expert in business investment, portfolio strategy development, and even microgravity research with NASA, will be the featured speaker at the Johnson School of Business Speaker Series at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, in Old Main Mathews Auditorium. He will be addressing students, faculty, staff, and interested community members on the topic “How to make millions and save thousands with personal and professional finance” in the last talk for this semester.

Zales is a sought after speaker for corporations and financial firms and is a great resource for those interested in entrepreneurship and/or financial intermediation. He is the founder of the startup, Accrue Investments & Consulting (Accrue). Accrue is currently focused on building an investment track record through proprietary investing. Accrue's proprietary fund annualized gross ROI is 55% and has not lost money on any investments (funded September 2016). Accrue also offers consulting services focused on cash flow assistance, business strategy, and big data/applied statistics.

Before founding Accrue, Zales was a buy-side research associate for Fisher Investments. Fisher Investments is a registered investment advisor with $60B assets under management. At Fisher, he conducted qualitative and quantitative research focusing on global capital markets trends for portfolio managers and the Investment Policy Committee. His primary focus when he left Fisher was quantitative portfolio strategy development and testing. During his tenure at Fisher, he wrote over 200 research papers on portfolio strategy, security analysis, market research and financial theory for institutional, private and internal clients.
