Below are news items of interest from McMurry University faculty, alumni and students.

  • McMurry University mathematics professors Dr. Kathryn Flores, Dr. Kelly McCoun, Dr. Mark Thornburg and Instructor Roxana Dita recently attended the 98th Mathematical Association of America Texas meeting at El Centro College.    

  • Dr. Paul Fabrizio, professor of political science, spoke at the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Leadership Conference in Abilene. The title of his talk was “The Importance of Voting for Young Professionals.”
  • Dr. Jeffery Kinlaw, professor of religion and philosophy, is a co-author for a new book titled "Johann Gottlief Fishte: Uber das Wesen des Gelehrten." He also contributed a chapter to the volume. It is a study guide volume of essays on Fichte’s 1805 Lectures on the Scholar’s Vocation. His co-editors are Alfred Denker (Spain) and Holger Zaborowski (German)
  • Dr. Bryan Stewart, professor of religion, recently published an article entitled, “The Spiritual Gospel: The Gospel of John in the Early Church.”
