ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University will host Christian musician JJ Heller in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in Radford Auditorium. Joining Heller in concert will be local musicians Timothy Palmer and Stephanie Ellison.

After releasing multiple albums, Heller had two songs, “Your Hands” from her 2008 album Painted Red and “What Love Really Means” from the album When I’m with You, which peaked at number 13 on the Christian music chart.

Heller grew up in San Jose, California in a family with strong Christian values. She went to college at San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University) where she began writing music. She joined a band which played at coffee shops in the area; the band included her future husband Dave Heller. He continues to collaborate with writing, recording and producing her works. Heller released multiple albums before she had her first chart appearance in 2009. Her song “Your Hands” from her album Painted Red reached number 13 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart.

Ticket prices are $10 to the general public and $5 with any student ID. Student tickets must be purchased in the McMurry Religious Life office in the Garrison Campus Center between 1-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
