McMurry University’s Knox-Bennett Writers Series will present nationally acclaimed writer Peter Turchi on March 27-28.. Mr. Turchicurrently teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Houston. All three events are open and free to the public.

Mr. Turchi will discuss the craft of writing at 2:30 p.m. March 27 in the McMurry Jay-Rollins Library,. That evening, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ryan Recital Hall at McMurry, he will read from his fiction. Mr. Turchi will present a lecture based on his new book, A Muse and A Maze: Writing as Puzzle, Mystery, and Magic at 9 a.m. March 28, in the foyer of the Ryan Fine Arts Building,

Mr. Turchi has published a novel and a collection of short stories, as well as several books on the craft of writing, including his widely hailed Maps of the Imagination: The Writer as Cartographer.
