ABILENE, Texas – 100 Women, 100 Words will be on display from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 30 at the Furr Welcome Center on McMurry University’s campus.

Also, the 100 Words Women in History Project 2012 Volume I book is now available for purchase. This volume consists of photos of the first edition canvasses and accompanying words for our Women in History Project. Volume II will be produced after the next 100 participants have completed their works.

100 Women, 100 Words is a multimedia exhibition featuring art and words by West Texas women. This exhibit brings together a diverse group of women from all ages and backgrounds who have responded to the question “What does it mean to be a woman?” It has been displayed in Abilene, Albany and Ft. Worth to date.

Participants in the show include some well-known community leaders like State Representative Susan King, as well as area high school students, local professors, community leaders, military leaders, ministers, moms, nonprofit executives, artists and others.
