The McMurry Theatre Department is proud to announce our 2012 Dinner Theatre Season. This year’s program consists of three productions.

Our first show will be Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy, “The Good Doctor,” which is inspired by the comical short stories of Anton Chekhov and is being directed by David Ainsworth. It will run June 14-16 and 21-23; show only tickets are $12, dinner tickets are $25.

Our second production is “Swing, Swang, Swung,” an evening of music, dining, and dancing in a nightclub setting featuring a professional six piece jazz ensemble with a female vocalist. Dr. Mark Wilcox, the instructor of the McMurry jazz ensemble, put together an ensemble of professional musicians who will be playing classics like “Satin Doll,” “Body and Soul,” “Take the A Train,” “In the Mood,” and “String of Pearls.” “Swing, Swang, Swung” will run for one weekend, June 28-30; show only tickets are $12, dinner tickets are $25.

To complete our season, we will be producing “Legally Blonde: the Musical.” Based on the MGM motion picture, this dance spectacular will be running July 26-28 and August 2-4, with additional 2pm matinees on July 29th and August 5th. Tickets for show only are $17, and dinner tickets are $30.

All regular show times will be at 8 p.m, dinner at 7 p.m. throughout the summer. Dinner tickets must be purchased 24 hours in advance. There is a $2 discount on Thursdays and Sundays, and there is a $5 discount with a McMurry ID. The Box Office is now open, Monday through Thursday from 1-6pm, as well as 1-6pm on show dates. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office or online at
