McMurry University’s Diversity Affairs Council is hosting its first-ever Diversity Week from Monday, Nov 18 to Friday, Nov 22.

Dr. Morris Baker, McMurry University’s first African-American undergraduate degree holder, will speak about his experiences at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in the Garrison Campus Center Mabee Room.

Come test your knowledge by playing “Diversity Map Quest” in the Mabee Dining Hall’s Village Market Meeting Room between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Like food from different cultures? Come to the “Culture Feast” Thursday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Mabee Room and feast on a variety of cuisine from around the world. Three to four dollars’ worth of food will have you stuffed!

Learn more about the implications and consequences of word choices on Friday, Nov. 22, in the Mabee Room from 11 a.m-1p.m, through student discussion of the power words have and their lasting implications.
