Fifteen McMurry University students, faculty and staff travelled from McMurry to Dublin, London and Edinburgh with Professor of Music, Dr. David Wallis and Professor of Art, Kathie Walker-Millar May 15-26, 2014.

The university students studied art and music in the three cities. They watched Irish dancers and musicians in Dublin and attended an Irish music festival in Skerries.  They attended musicals like the Lion King in the West End of London. One evening they toured London's alleys on a Jack the Ripper tour. The students studied the early Celtic and Viking artistry in the museums and saw the illuminated manuscript, the Book of Kells at Trinity University.

At the British Museum they experienced the Greek sculptures from the pediment of the Parthenon, Assyrian guardian figures and the Rosetta stone that helped break the code of the Egyptian Hieroglyphs. The McMurry students and faculty also toured Edinburgh Castle with a Scotsman in a kilt and Stirling Castle before heading back to Texas.
