McMurry University is offering special summer classes in photography and jewelry making. There is still time to register for our exciting summer classes in the Art Department: Don’t forget that summer tuition is 50% off when taking this for credit! 

Take Beginning Digital Photography with Fine Art Photographer Jennifer Nichols  to learn what you need to know about taking and printing  beautiful digital images.  This is a life-long skill and can produce many hours of enjoyment as you record and preserve life’s events. You must have your own digital camera, memory card, USB cord, flash drive and batteries.  We will go into the field on exciting photo assignments and work in the Mac Lab in the Ryan Fine Arts Center.  You may take this course for college credit (2323) or for the pleasure of the medium through Adult Photo Camp. July 7-August 7.  1:00 p.m.- 4:45 p.m. M—Th. Non-credit cost is $390.00—includes materials.

Take Jewelry Design with jewelry designer Ronda Hillis.  You will work with Ronda to create unique resin cast jewelry. This is a fun and creative class which meets July 7—11.  10:00 a.m.--12:00 p.m. M-F in the jewelry lab in Ryan. Non- credit cost is $135.00—includes materials, or sign up for Beginning Adult  Ceramics Camp or Art 1313-- Basic Pottery with Z. Miles Mayfield and play in the mud. Learn to throw on the wheel, build by hand,  sculpt, fire and glaze.  July 7-August 7.  5:30-9:15 p.m.  M-Th.  Chapin Ceramics Studio. Non-credit cost is $390.00—includes materials
