McMurry University is proud to be recognized as a top-ranked institution for the 19th consecutive year by U.S. News and World Report Best College Guide. McMurry was ranked 16th in the top ranked institution in the Western Region of the Comprehensive Colleges-Bachelor’s category for these rankings. McMurry also ranked fourth in ethnic diversity in the regional college category with a Hispanic student population of 21 percent.
“McMurry University students are mentored by dedicated faculty who appreciate their role as providers of learning,” said Dr. Paul Fabrizio, vice president for academic affairs at McMurry. “This recognition is a reflection of McMurry’s continued commitment to providing a rigorous learning experience that provides students with the intellectual, social and career skills needed to excel upon graduation.”
In all categories, the top 20 schools in Tier 1 are numerically ranked, while schools in tiers 2, 3 and 4 are listed alphabetically.  According to U.S. News and World Report, rankings are based on seven categories: assessment by administrators at peer institutions, retention of students, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving and graduation rate performance.
